The Fourth Industrial Revolution refers to the innovative transformation of industry and society driven by the convergence of advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI), big data, the Internet of Things (IoT), and cloud computing. Among these, AI is drawing attention as a core technology leading the Fourth Industrial Revolution. As AI technology develops rapidly, companies are making significant investments in AI development, and innovation using AI is occurring across various industries.

Amid this trend, SFACSPACE is a company developing computer vision-related solutions through its AI technology and data processing capabilities. Starting in March 2021 under the name YMSDOTCO Co., Ltd., it has grown as a technology-based startup by earning 16 AI-related patents, industrial convergence innovation product certification, the Minister of Science and ICT Award, the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry Director’s Award, and various other commendations. We met with CEO Yeom Min-ho of SFACSPACE, who aims to help all members of society easily and conveniently use big data in daily life through AI technology and, based on that, make society better.

Please introduce your company.

SFACSPACE is driving innovation in the computer vision field with the vision of “creating new changes in space (SPACE) through artificial intelligence.” It is currently operated around two divisions: IT Technology and IT Education.

The IT Technology Division operates an image handler using a spatial reconstruction solution based on its self-developed Computer Vision and LLM technologies, as well as “Spec Analyst,” a real-time AI-based stock report generation service. In addition, it is developing software technologies in collaboration with various institutions and companies, while also serving as a supplier company for various technology voucher programs.

Meanwhile, the IT Education Division operates an IT-specialized education brand called “Sniper Factory,” offering a wide range of technical training courses including apps, web, AI, big data, games, UI/UX design, and service planning. In particular, it has opened bidirectional training programs with companies and has operated everything from educational planning to projects and internship programs, connecting about 10,000 trainees—including teenagers, job seekers, and incumbents—to large corporations, mid-sized companies, and venture startups.

 

What core value do you consider most important in operating SFACSPACE?

As a young entrepreneur, I believe it is important to newly define and solve the problems in our society through innovative thinking. In this era where knowledge and technology evolve day by day and new technologies emerge overnight, I consider it most important to maintain a virtuous-cycle mindset: identifying social problems in line with the times and solving them through technology. As a company that develops and teaches next-generation technologies, SFACSPACE seeks to transform the market and create success through new ideas and technologies.

To this end, we aim to grow the organization through collaboration with team members, cultivate entrepreneurship through continuous self-development without fearing failure, and support the creation of social value with the vision that trainees contribute to the ICT industry. We will build a company where all members can work with pride and enjoyment. SFACSPACE will continue striving so that the path it creates can inspire others and offer meaningful insights.

What technical characteristics does SFACSPACE’s computer vision have?

We have developed a listing verification solution utilizing computer vision-related technologies. Through this technology, image verification is carried out using an image verification/storage handler, and image optimization solutions are provided, including listing photo editing through object recognition, listing authentication, object recognition, object segmentation, and inpainting. Based on this technological capability, we have launched an app by developing and selling real estate proptech technology to Company S and jointly developing solution technology.

In addition, we developed an AI-based overseas news collection, analysis, summarization, and translation service using natural language processing technology. This one-stop service is provided in API form to CP companies so they can deliver overseas news information to customers. Furthermore, by advancing the technology, we now provide not only simple news big data but also real-time SEC disclosure information. Through this, we are developing a “Real-time SpecAI Analyst” platform that generates generative AI-based stock information reports by combining news data and disclosure information.

 

I’m curious about the main courses in your IT education program. Could you explain the content and method?

Regarding our IT education business, we provide various training courses under the IT technology education brand “Sniper Factory.” The curriculum is structured in bootcamp format, consisting of three weeks of pre-training followed by 7–8 weeks of corporate projects. These corporate projects are highly popular among job seekers and university students who want to build portfolios.

Meanwhile, the Digital Saessak Program, in which we have participated since 2023 after being selected as an operating institution for two years, provides education for elementary, middle, and high school students, and is run under the Korea Foundation for the Advancement of Science and Creativity and the Ministry of Education. In cooperation with Korea Aerospace University, we offer activities such as drone building and coding for elementary, middle, and high school students, providing education to prepare for the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

If you have future goals and directions, what are they?

SFACSPACE has goals in two directions. First, we aim to establish ourselves as a technology company where everyone can define and manage new space (SPACE) through AI. Second, while leveraging various IT technologies including AI, we want to educate people in new technologies and become Sniper Factory—a space (SPACE) where trainees can create new specs (SFAC). And we hope SFACSPACE can be together at the center of society’s virtuous cycle in building that future.
