KOSME launches global startup support program 'G-Camp'... taking its first step in France

The Korea SMEs and Startups Agency announced on the 27th that it will fully launch the '2024 Global Startup Academy Local Expansion Program (G-Camp)' to support founders’ global startup activities and strengthen their capabilities for local market entry.

G-Camp is a newly introduced startup support program this year that collaborates with global accelerators (ACs) to help participating startup companies go abroad directly, enhance their global capabilities, and build a foundation for local market entry, including discovering business partners.

The first G-Camp this year is being conducted in Paris, France, in partnership with WILCO, a global AC, for two weeks from the 17th to the 28th.

G-Camp features events such as ▲ speed meetings with venture capitalists (VCs) and angel investors ▲ mentoring for overseas expansion ▲ group workshops to discover local customers ▲ a tour of Station F, France’s largest startup facility ▲ business meetings with local companies ▲ participating companies’ IR pitching (Demo Day).

At Demo Day, seven companies participated: Soteria Eight, IndieJ, Livridge, Lutonix, JJ&Companies, Viewgen, and SFACSPACE, all of which are enrolled in the 5th cohort of this year’s Global Startup Academy.

Jo Han-gyo, Director of Human Resource Growth at KOSME, said, "Starting with France, we plan to actively support domestic startups in overseas investment and corporate establishment in a total of five countries, including Vietnam and Singapore in July, Saudi Arabia in August, and the United States in September," adding, "We will do our utmost to support the globalization of promising startups."
